The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), through its Middle East District (SWM), is evaluating the ability of businesses to perform a comprehensive pavement repair by removal of 13,504 Square Meters (SM) of Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement, to include transitions, and replace with modified-heavy load concrete pavement on the Touchdown 08 end of Runway 08/26. Pavement will support modified-heavy load aircraft landing operations. Repair shall include concrete extension of the touchdown zone to meet current mission-assigned platform requirements by replacing 13,354 SM of asphaltic concrete pavement of runway with PCC.
