The specificationd are general enough that to cover slip or flange joints. The drawings show flanged joints and that is what is required for this procurement. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: 1. Will Smooth Round poles will be a considered as an alternative to 12-sided hexagonal poles. ANSWER = NO. 2. The Quantity of poles in the bid schedule differs from the quantities listed on the engineered drawings. ANSWER = Use the quantities of poles listed in the BID SCHEDULE. 3.The ground sleeve in the drawing is shown at 7?-0 long that is, 5?-0 above grade and 2?-0 below grade. The bid description schedule calls out a 5?-0 ground sleeve 3?-0 above grade and 2?-0 below grade. ANSWER = Use the sleeve lengths specified in the SPECIFICATIONS.
