The purpose of the procurement is for Remedial Action to be performed at the Former United Zinc and Associated Smelters Superfund Site on Operable Unit 01 in Iola, KS. The objective is to reduce the human health risk of exposure to lead by removing lead-contaminated material from assigned residential properties. The EPA estimates 1,067 residential properties will be eligible for remediation, backfill and restoration over the course of one (1) base year and three (3) option years. The estimated dollar value for this procurement is $25M to $35M.
