Description
The Central Valley Office (CVO) Project is a collaboration between National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Southwest Fisheries Science Center (SWFSC) fisheries Ecology Division (FED), NMFS Central Valley Office, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, and the UC Davis Center for Aquatic Biology and Aquaculture (CABA). The CVO Project aims to collect genotype data for spring-run Chinook salmon being held at the CABA facility for captive rearing and breeding. It also includes ecotype and population identification, sibling group reconstruction, relatedness estimation and breeding partner recommendations. The purchase of twenty (20) Qiagen DNeasy 96 Blood & Tissue Kits for DNA extraction is in support of the Project
