FY25 Engineering Support Services

Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) issued a Request for Proposal and negotiated a contract on a sole-source basis with Battelle Memorial Institute (Battelle), of Columbus, Ohio to provide highly specialized engineering and program management services. These services support the Trident II facility operations, D5LE2 missile production and operational planning, D5LE-2 missile technologies, and flight test support efforts. This effort requires in-depth and direct knowledge of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) and D5 Life Extension (D5LE) components. Consequently, SSP solicited and negotiated per the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) (FAR Subsection 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). SSP awarded a Cost Plus Fixed Fee, one (1)
