Description
The United States Air Force, 354th Contracting Squadron, Eielson AFB, AK, awarded a firm-fixed-price purchase order to Hammonds Technical Services, Inc. for the procurement of one (1) Hammonds Fluid Powered Additive Injection Cart. Technical Order 00-25-172 authorizes the use of Hammonds fuel additive injection systems for introducing Fuel System Icing Inhibitor (FSII) and other required additives into JP-8 fuel during routine fueling operations. The purchase was executed using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), which permits soliciting from a single source when the contracting officer determines that only one source is reasonably available.
