PROJECT: MT FLAP BOR 2980(1), Sun River Bridge Replacement LOCATION: 50 miles NW of Augusta, MT WORK: The work consists of building a new bridge about 200 feet downstream of the existing bridge, with new approach. The approaches are on embankments and MSE wall approaches. Final surfacing will be gravel for approaches and concrete on the bridge. The project includes construction of a 3 span, 462-foot long precast-post-tensioned girder bridge with a precast concrete deck. Abutments are founded on both spread footing and piles within an MSE wall fill. Piers are supported on 10 foot diameter drilled shafts.
