Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), has a hangar in need of renovation at Moore Air Base, Edinburg, Texas. The hangar was constructed between 1941 and 1943 during World War II as part of the Army Training Command. The hangar is approximately 22,000 sf with a ceiling height of roughly 30 feet. In 2019 Moore Air Base flooded, and approximately 24 inches of water flooded the hangar. The water caused significant damage to several areas of the hangar including several rooms. Construction design documents divide the project into three separate and distinct phases: Phase 1 Exterior and Structural Structural repairs and roof.
