Northline Utilities(formerly Black & McDonald) has prior experience working on the main substation, giving better insight and higher levels of safety for the work that needs to be done. We request that the same contractor is used for the repair on transformer T2 to keep the equipment connections, tests and practices identical across the redundant transformers of the electrical utility system. If a fault were to occur at transformer T2, electrical power to all Watervliet Arsenal would be lost, causing severe financial losses and production delays.
