Action was awarded sole source and not competitive. The Sensors Directorate (AFRL/RY) continues to require access to the MATLAB family of products at the enterprise level. This level of access is essential to continue to provide support for a wide range of AFRL, USAF, DoD, and Joint-service programs. The MATLAB requirement cannot be fulfilled by any other source without incurring considerable delays and duplication of costs. Therefore, sole-source authority under FAR 13.5 remains the only effective method of meeting this requirement.
