The Ageny has Caterpillar equiment that need maintenance and repair parts. In order to ensure reliabiity of parts to maintain critical systems, competition was limited to known vendors as they are aware of the need. Additionally, the parts were urgently needed for to meet a critical timeline. The selected vendor could meet the critical timeline without being impeded bby customs in both Tanzania.
