Description

A firm fixed price contract in the amount of $579,836 was awarded to the University of Utah on September 26, 2025 on a sole source basis. This work supports the NASA Hyperspectral Planetary Imaging Explorer (HyperPIX) project for developing and demonstrating an imaging spectrograph, which was competitively awarded under NASA Research Announcement (NRA) NNH24ZDA001N, Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2024 solicitation, by the NASA Planetary Instrument Concepts for the Advancement of Solar System Observations (PICASSO) program. As part of this effort, the University of Utah will develop the Diffractive Focal Array (DFA) optical device that meets the requirements for the Diffractive Imaging Spectrometer (DRISM) configuration for implementation in the Stratospheric Aer
