Description

TANB IIs are primarily operated by USCG Aids to Navigation Teams (ANTs) and are used to place, retrieve, and maintain smaller floating navigation aids (buoys), provide support for fixed navigation aids, and for transferring crews and equipment to remote shore-based equipment in support of the Aids to Navigation (ATON) mission. While ATON is the primary mission of the TANB, the boats are also used in support of Search and Rescue (SAR), Marine Safety (MS), Marine Environmental Protection (MEP), and Living Marine Resources (LMR) missions. This Indefinite-Delivery / Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract was awarded in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and in conjunction with FAR Part 15.
