The Agricultural Marketing Service has posted an updated Supplement 603 Frozen Bison Items - April 2026. Primary updates include: addition of new verbiage for the Domestic Origin of Meat Component, under the delivered product section- a statement informing vendors that truck seal numbers must also be recorded on the BOL per the Master Solicitation, product temperature at time of loading to be recorded on the Contractors Checkloading shipping documentation, replaced immediate and shipping container verbiage with primary package and shipping case throughout the documents, metal detection validation must be performed with all three metals during each testing interval including TP procedural requirements, name change for the animal welfare organization NAMI now called the Meat Institute, Delivery date changed to Shipping date on the Certificate of Conformance.
