Description
The purpose of the debris boom is to prevent floating debris from impacting the dam's tainter gates, which is crucial for maintaining the full operational capacity of the spillway. The boom will also serve as a visual barrier to boaters. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, engineering, fabrication, delivery, and optional installation necessary to furnish a complete debris boom system at Harry S. Truman Dam. The approximately 2,000-foot boom shall be designed to intercept floating debris upstream of the spillway and withstand site-specific hydraulic, wind, wave, debris, and impact loading conditions.
