September 30, 2026 The purpose of this amendment is to provide the Planning Guidelines and Design Standards for Checked Baggage Inspection Systems Version 9.0 (PGDS v9.0), which hereby replaces Version 8.0. The PGDS provides requirements and best practices to assist designers, planners, architects, and other stakeholders in developing efficient and cost-effective checked baggage screening systems. PGDS v9.0 is provided as a single document containing the main body and appendices. This amendment also includes an industry comment form.
