Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers intends to award the Kerry Company, Inc. with a purchase order to remanufacture the Miter Gate Actuators of Locks 4 and 5 on the Allegheny River. The contractor shall remanufacture both actuators simultaneously to their new and improved design. This contract does not include any modifications or improvements performed on the Cardanic Ring.The work includes disassembly of the motors, electrical testing and inspection of all components for wear and damage, steam cleaning, bake-out, sandblasting of required components, reassembly with two new bearings per actuator, final electrical testing, and painting.
