59-Special Notice to Award Sole Source

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A BRAND NAME SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT NAVSUP Fleet Logistics San Diego (FLCSD) intends to award a Sole Source contract to EATON Corporation, San Diego, CA 92111 to procure three (3) 11LSIG/LSIA DIGITRIP 1150i Trip Units to be installed on the Eaton Magnum and Magnum DS circuit breakers onboard USS AMERICA (LHA 6). FLCSD will use Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition. The authority for soliciting a single source under simplified acquisition procedures is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting Competition, which states that contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreeme
