Statement of Need Radiation Shielding Systems GENERAL: James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH) located at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33612, has a requirement for RAMPART GUARDIAN ROVER and RAMPART IC SENTRY (BRAND NAME) to house and provide mobile radiation protection without the need for cumbersome lead vests during Cardiac Catheterization procedures in Cardiology Section of Medicine and Specialty Care. BACKGROUND: JAHVH currently provides patient care for veteran patients in the Cardiac Catheterization Labs of Cardiology Department Medicine and Specialty Care Service. In these Cardiac Catheterization Labs, the clinicians performing the procedure wear the typical bulky lead vests.
