AFPSL Furnaces

AFMETCAL at Heath OH intends to solicit and award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) in accordance with Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services and RFO 12.201-1 Simplified Procedures for the purchase of Metrology Furnaces for use of calibrating standard platinum thermometers for the Air Force Primary Standards Laboratory (AFPSL). Only Isotech North America can provide the furnaces without substantial duplication of costs. The furnaces are required to be used with proprietary fixed-point tin and zinc cells.
