This is a combined synopsis/solicitation in accordance with FAR Part 13. This is a simplified acquisition to establish a contact for specialized braille services, including tactile graphics. The Library of Congress (Library) requires contract support to transcribe documents into braille, produce eBraille (.brf) files, and emboss and bind documents. The National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS) Information Services Section authors approximately 25 new or revised publications per fiscal year. The documents are textual in nature, and many contain bibliographic citations and lists of organizations with addresses, phone numbers, websites, and other contact information.
