Description
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Air and Marine Operations (AMO), is conducting market research to identify industry capabilities for commercially available or custom-configured Class 4 Inshore Patrol Vessels (IPVs) for use by the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP). The vessels will support inshore patrol, law enforcement, interdiction, search and rescue, deterrence, reconnaissance, and maritime awareness missions in rivers, lakes, bays, coastal areas, the Great Lakes, and other inshore operating environments. CBP is considering two vessel categories: Patrol Boat-Small (PC1): A nimble vessel, 25 feet or less, intended for shallow and obstructed waterways such as riverine environments.
