In accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act of 1970 (29 CFR 1960), DODI 6055.01, and AR 38510, all areas and operations of each workplace must be inspected at least annually by qualified safety and occupational health personnel. An American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is classified as qualified safety and health personnel to fulfill these mandates.
