Description
Brand specific justification is to provide UPS systems to the remote Alaska location identified as Tin City. The geographic isolation requires UPS systems with open-architecture accessibility for comprehensive lifecycle management. The specialized contracting arrangement necessitates UPS systems that can be serviced by qualified third-party technicians. Only Toshiba and Mitsubishi offer PCCIE-listed and approved UPS systems. As Toshiba and Mitsubishi are COTS items, all vendors have the ability to purchase either of these brands.
