Description
The 14th Contracting Squadron at Columbus AFB, MS hereby gives NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE to SmartShooter Inc., 13405 Elevation Lane, Herndone, VA 20171, to provide all products/support IAW the Statement of Work for SMASH 2000LE fire control optics. Description of Requirement: This acquisition is a strict sole-source procurement to fill an immediate capability gap identified by the Department of War (DoW) Joint C-sUAS Office (JCO) and recognized under the DAF FM 679 waiver. The "capability gap" refers to the critical point defense shortfall for a dismounted kinetic effects capability, specifically against small, unmanned aerial systems (sUAS). The SMASH 2000LE system is required to fill this immediate capability gap by providing a predictive tracking and fire control solution
