LPAC REPAIR

The Government issued a Purchase Order for urgent repairs to the O2N2 low pressure air compressor #2 (LPAC) onboard a MSC vessel. Attached is a copy of the redacted urgency statement detailing the Government's determination. The purpose of this item is to perform repairs and operational testing of the ship's O2N2 low pressure air compressor #2 (LPAC). Diagnose the root cause of the high vibration alarm triggering shutdowns in the first stage of the LPAC. Repair or replace faulty components as required to restore normal operation. Replace the automatic unloader valve as part of the repair process.
