NOTICE OF INTENT THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center San Diego (FLCSD) intends to award a firm fixed price contract to Rigaku Americas Corporation, 9009 New Trails Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77381. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agencys requirements. The requirement is for annual preventative maintenance on a Rigaku Miniflex 600 x-ray diffractometer (XRD) located at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS). For the continued operation of the XRD, annual maintenance must be carried out on the instrument. Furthermore, any problems that arise with the XRD must be resolved so that NPS
