The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, sole source Contract on behalf of the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) To Lomir Inc. under the authority of 41 USC 1901, as implemented in FAR 12.102 Restricting competition, under the authority of simplified procedures for certain commercial items. This requirement is Non-Human Primate (NHP) jackets. While NHP Jackets are available from other distributors, not all essential materials needed to construct them are available through those channels. Lomir Inc. stands apart as the only distributor able to supply a complete product meeting the Governments minimum essential characteristics therefore making this a sole source requirement.
