The Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) has a requirement to implement Lean Six Sigma, Process Improvement, and Project Management Support under the leadership of the Surgeon General. This support encompasses Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), Project Management (PM), and Knowledge Management (KM) capabilities not organic to the Navy Medicine culture to streamline efforts to optimize medical readiness and operational capabilities across Navy Medicine.
