The H?k?ala Resort is a property adjacent to Lihue Airport, the Part-139 airport servicing the island of Kauai. The presence of the Hawaiian goose or n?n? (Branta sandvicensis) poses considerable bird aircraft strike hazard risk to the daily operations at the airport, threatening human health and safety.
