The U.S. Coast Guard has a one-time requirement for services associated with four MTU series 20V1163TB93L diesel engines currently stored at a Rolls-Royce Solutions America facility in Brownstown, Michigan. The requirement includes the following major tasks: Transport and complete disassembly of four MTU 20V1163TB93L diesel engines. Salvage of usable spare parts to support the National Security Cutter fleet. Salvage of all four crankshafts. Modification of two salvaged crankshafts to the current approved/improved radius design.
