The Detroit Ranger District owns four boats which are used by staff to perform work on Detroit Lake during the warmer months. The boats are used by recreation, wildland fire support, wildlife, and hydrology staff, among others to perform work which is important in ensuring public safety and forest health. The boats are currently in need of new motors, minor hull repairs, and checks of their other electronic systems to ensure they will continue to be able to fulfill the many roles they are needed for. The goal of the current work is to procure and install new motors along with performing overdue maintenance work, aiming to get the boats to 100% working order. Please see the attached combined synopsis/solicitation for details.
