The DHS US Coast Guard Training Center Petaluma intends to award a sole-source purchase order using the procedures at FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This purchase order is intended to be awarded to Land & Coates Inc. for one Kubota MX4900HSTC tractor. This acquisition is being conducted on a brand-name basis. The particular brand name is essential to the Government's requirements as TRACEN Yorktown has a significant investment in compatible Kubota equipment and attachments. Procuring a different brand would require the purchase of new, duplicative equipment and attachments.
