Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, requires repairs to a deteriorated section of concrete within the stairwell of the Intake Tower at Tionesta Creek Lake. The repair is necessary to restore watertightness, prevent inundation of interior spaces during high-water events, and maintain safe access for project personnel. The deteriorated section of concrete is located at elevation 1116.5 and encompasses an area approximately 8 feet high from elevation 1116.5, 7 feet wide from the right wall, and at least 8 inches deep, or until the contractor encounters sound concrete. The contractor shall sound the concrete, mark the limits of demolition, and remove all unsound material. After demolition, a non-shrink, low-pressure injection grout shall be installed around the full perimete
