The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) / Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) / United States Fire Administration (USFA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13 and 19.14) with the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), 9711 Washington Blvd, Suite 380, Gaithersburg, MD, 20878, as the only responsible source that capable of providing Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) Risk Assessment & Mitigation for the Fire Service for USFA. The SFPE uniquely developed software for wildfire risk assessment with high tech systems for determining mitigation strategies.
