Description

The Library of Congress (Library) requires contract support to modernize the audio systems for the historic Coolidge Auditorium. The 485-seat venue was constructed as an addition in 1925 for the primary purpose of hosting chamber music concerts. During the mid-1990s it experienced an upgrade to several components which included adding structed audio amplification, wall panels, floor boxes, audio patch bays, and equipment racks. This analog infrastructure is mostly inoperable, and most of the devices once connected have been decommissioned. To support the wide-range of performances, lectures, and other events that occur in the space portable audio equipment is loaded in/out for every event.
