Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) - St. Paul District has a 5-year services requirement for forest inventory to be conducted for forested lands on the Upper Mississippi River within the footprint of the USACE - St. Paul District. This inventory will provide foresters and land managers with site and stand specific information on diversity, forest health, structure and invasive species needed to make sound management decisions and plans. The forest inventory data collection utilizes a combined variable?radius point sampling protocol to collect a variety of forest overstory metrics and a fixed?area plot protocol to collect general information on understory trees and herbaceous communities.
