Description
The Green Grouse Project is located on the Darrington Ranger District of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest encompassing the area indicated on the Contract Area Map within South Fork Stillaguamish watershed near Granite Falls, Washington Restoration objectives for the project area are summarized as follows: Enhance habitat conditions for old forest associated species in late-successional reserves with emphasis on nesting habitat for marbled murrelet and northern spotted owls. Maintain and restore riparian vegetation composition and structural diversity, while protecting and enhancing fish habitat and aquatic organism passage. Contribute a supply of timber products to the public from the variable density stand thinning. Manage infrastructure and facilities within the South Fork Stilla
