The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions that were received (see below) and to extend the response date to 7/28/2026 The solicitation requires a "Hazardous Material License Number" and DOT certification under 49 CFR Part 172, Subpart H. Please clarify whether a PHMSA Hazardous Materials Registration/License is required for this procurement. If so, please identify the applicable regulatory basis and the specific materials being transported that trigger this requirement. . Yes RMD that is contaminated meets definition of hazardous materials. The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), via PHMSA, regulates hazardous materials transportation under the Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR), 49 CFR Parts 171 180. 172 subpart H refers to training that the driver receives.
