Background: Building 6418 at Moore Air Base is a Mexican Fruit Fly Rearing Facility. The Mexican Fruit Fly Program is charged with the eradication of Mexican Fruit Flies from the Lower Rio Grande Valley in Texas and the northern municipalities of Tamaulipas, Mexico. Building 6418s Colony Egg Bubbling Room is where fly eggs are cleaned and incubated.
