General Dynamics has landed a new U.S. Army task order valued at up to $580 million over the next five years. The agreement extends the company’s role in maintaining and supporting a suite of high-tech security systems designed to protect military personnel and installations worldwide.

This contract covers a range of services, including system operations, maintenance, training, logistics support, and the procurement of new equipment for the Army’s Integrated Base Defense and Force Protection Family of Systems.

Awarded under the Army’s RS3 (Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services) contract vehicle, the task order includes a one-year base period with the option to extend annually for up to four additional years.

General Dynamics will carry out the work through its Global Force joint venture, which combines capabilities from its IT services, mission systems, land systems, and ordnance business units. To date, this joint venture has been awarded over $289 million under the current iteration of the contract, originally issued in 2020.

The renewed effort supports 12 types of force protection systems and sensor technologies deployed across the continental United States and various overseas locations. General Dynamics will also be responsible for ongoing engineering, system sustainment, asset tracking, warehouse operations, transportation, and field deployments.
