Contract Deadline Tracking & Management
Use opportunity response dates and custom events to organize bid work. Confirm the date, time, time zone, amendments, and submission method in the authoritative notice.
Late submissions may be rejected
Treat the official solicitation system as the source of truth. Gov Contract Finder is not a government system, and its calendar cannot guarantee delivery, deadline accuracy, or acceptance of a response.
What the calendar can track
Opportunity response dates
Eligible saved opportunities with a response deadline can appear in the platform calendar.
Internal milestones
Create custom events for reviews, question due dates, approval gates, or other internal work.
Linked context
A custom event can include notes and an optional link to an opportunity record.
Custom-event reminder options
Supported presets are 15 or 30 minutes; 1 or 2 hours; and 1, 3, or 7 days before a custom event. You may also choose a custom reminder time at or before the event start.
Current custom-event reminders are email deliveries to eligible organization addresses. Delivery can fail or be delayed, so maintain an independent review process for critical deadlines.
Set up a deadline workflow
- 1Open the official notice and record the controlling response date, time zone, and submission instructions.
- 2Check that the saved opportunity record and calendar show the same date; correct your internal plan if they differ.
- 3Create separate custom events for internal reviews, approvals, amendment checks, and the intended submission buffer.
- 4Choose reminder recipients and offsets, then confirm the emails and event time are correct.
- 5Reopen the official notice before each key review and immediately before submission.
Automation boundaries
- The system does not extract every deadline or instruction from every solicitation attachment into a complete schedule.
- It does not classify all deadlines, build buffers, resolve dependencies, or move other events when a source date changes.
- There is no standard SMS deadline-alert channel or automatic escalation engine described by the current implementation.
- A displayed countdown or reminder does not confirm that the underlying date is current or complete.
Google deadline sync
The enabled Google integration is designed for eligible opportunity-deadline sync. Confirm the synced event and update your process if the official notice changes. Outlook Calendar is not currently a live standard integration.
